Among other specialties, Benchmark is a leader in clinical vaccine research. Our experience includes high-volume patient recruitment and retention capabilities for healthy or indication-specific vaccine studies, while ensuring appropriate data capture and excellent study conduct.

We are unique in that we offer you a geographic spread of sites that operate independently on your trial. Moreover, our sites are united by centralized processes that maximize rapid study initiation and execution. Our management team works closely with our Principal Investigators and site teams to determine study feasibility, contractual agreement and recruitment strategies. Subsequently, we come together as a team to exceed your expectations within time constraints.

Since the late 1990s, Benchmark sites have been involved in several groundbreaking trials in vaccine development, beginning with influenza vaccines. We are able to rapidly meet enrollment goals and when we are given the green light, we over-enroll. For example, in October of 2006, Benchmark enrolled over 1,000 patients into influenza vaccine studies at all 7 study sites.

Over the years, we have learned to adapt our services to meet the dynamic and changing needs of the vaccine research industry. Each of our sites has unique capabilities that facilitate our recruitment successes above and beyond what our database of over 20,000 volunteers and centralized advertising department bring to the table. As Medical Director of Vaccine Research, Principal Investigator and Primary Researcher for our Austin site, Dr. Teresa Coats provides experienced oversight to all Benchmark sites. Her research initiative, backed by investigators at each Benchmark site, supports discovery of more safe and effective vaccines to prevent dangerous outbreaks, prepare for bio-terrorism threats, and diminish serious diseases. Dr. Coats is also available as an industry leader to offer you theory and experience-based feedback on your protocol background and design.
