Site Description

The San Angelo research center is situated in one of the largest medical complexes serving all of West Texas,  West Texas Medical Associates (WTMA). Dr. Darrell Herrington is the physician leading our efforts there, and is a board certified family practice doctor with over 22 years in service to the community. Dr. Herrington and his partners, Drs. Leckie, Conway, Noack, Montague, Foley and Henrikson have been conducting research in the San Angelo area with Benchmark since the late 1990's.
 
Over the past few years, this group has expanded its investigator team by therpeutic specialties. Dr. Penni Cambre is a board certified pediatrician and is experienced in pediatric vaccines, infant formula / vitamin, as well as other infant through adolescent age-specific trials. Our work with Dr. Miltiadis Leon has brought us into Cardiology studies. All of these doctors operate their own practices within our office building, are experienced in research, and actively recruit patients into clinical trials.
 
Overall, this Benchmark team has also been involved in several groundbreaking new medications and vaccines and works with 100 + other healthcare providers that actively seek out study patients.
